Fiber Laser

The Fiber laser can be operated in both Pulsed and CW mode and is a substantial technological improvement to traditional lamp pump YAG lasers for laser welding applications based upon improved performance, reliability, product quality, reduced maintenance, initial investment cost, and operating costs. This laser can be used for welding applications or for cutting and hole drilling applications based upon selection of a single mode or multi mode system.

Samples for clients are processed in our own laser laboratory and/or at one of our many partner laboratories. Our Story

Doug Orsan, a materials engineer with a background in photonics, identified a gap in laser welding technology while working on high-precision manufacturing projects in 2022. Frustrated by the limitations of existing systems—particularly their inability to adapt to real-time material variances—he developed a novel approach integrating state-of-the-art ACR AI with laser welding. His breakthrough came from embedding a neural network, trained on vast datasets of metallurgical and thermal dynamics, into a laser system capable of modulating beam intensity and focus at the 2-nanometer scale. This allowed for unprecedented control over weld integrity, reducing defects in micro-scale applications like semiconductor fabrication and aerospace components.

The idea crystallized during late-night discussions with his fiancée, Tori Orsan, a data scientist who refined the AI’s predictive algorithms to handle edge cases in exotic alloys. Sean Hardin, a mechanical engineer, built the prototype’s ruggedized chassis, ensuring it could withstand industrial environments. Early funding came from Anthony Orsan, their uncle and a seasoned angel investor, who saw the potential after a demo showed the system outperforming legacy methods in penetration depth and thermal efficiency. By 2025, their company had secured patents for the adaptive laser-AI interface and was poised to disrupt manufacturing at the nanoscale, attracting interest from investors seeking exposure to next-gen fabrication tech.
